WP:CITEVAR
editHi Hayman30, regarding this edit summary, I'm aware of the guideline concerning WP:CITVEVAR, however removing an unneeded dash is barely changed the citation style, but if you feel it should stay, then I respect that. I'm just used to altering them. AshMusique (talk) 17:46, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hey. Please see Template:Cite news and Template:Cite web. "access-date" is the default variant of the parameter, while "accessdate" is an alias, so the former is the original one, if not the correct one. Saying the the dash is "unneeded" is your personal opinion and using "accessdate" is your personal preference. It doesn't matter if you only changed a very little portion of the citation style, the alteration itself is unnecessary. It's not that I "feel it should stay", it's just that the article already has a established and consistent citation style when it was created and there is absolutely no real reason or need to change it, not to mention that the change you're proposing is completely meaningless other than to satisfy your personal preference. Okay, thank you for pointing that out. It's not my personal preference, I just didn't consider it a big deal. AshMusique (talk) 18:46, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
