editThis section was previously entitled "Removed entries that are non-notable". I've renamed it, and collapsed my 'talk' into a hidden table, as my thoughts, it transpired, were based on my misunderstanding of what's allowed in wp:DAB pages. (One can click on 'Show' to display the prior text.)

Please don't add to this list (unless the entry you're adding was removed by you from the article page). The following entries have been removed from the main article, because they do not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. For instance, just because an artist is notable, it does not follow that every single album (let alone track) they've ever produced is notable in its own right (as notability is not simply inherited). So, if an article exists for something Still Life, then by all means add a link to it from the Still Life article. This is in line with the Wikipedia advice wp:Write the article first. Hence, the following were only cluttering up the main Still Life page (and worse, by being there, encouraging others to add similar entries). I've moved them to here as a courtesy, rather than just deleting them. I've unlinked the notable elements in these lists, as their linking would otherwise be considered Wikipedia:Spam (inflating the number of links for one's favoured article). If anybody wishes to discuss this stance, I welcome such talk on my Talk page, and will reply to any topics raised there. Obviously, this doesn't stop you adding comments on this page (in a new section, below mine, please). Trafford09 (talk) 11:00, 22 December 2010 (UTC) Removed albums that are non-notableeditJust because these music artists are notable, it does not follow that any album they've ever produced is notable in its own right. If you think that a particular album is notable, create an article for that album, and only then add a link to it from the Still Life article. This is in line with the Wikipedia advice wp:Write the article first.
Removed tracks that are non-notableeditJust because these albums are notable, it does not follow that any track on them is notable in its own right. If you think that a particular track is notable, create an article for that track, and only then add a link to it from the Still Life article. This is in line with the Wikipedia advice wp:Write the article first.
Removed other entries that are non-notableeditJust because these an actor or television series is notable, it does not follow that any film or episode on them is notable in its own right. If you think that a particular work is notable, create an article for that work, and only then add a link to it from the Still Life article. This is in line with the Wikipedia advice wp:Write the article first.

- Article-level notability is not the criterion for inclusion on a dab page. If a topic is discussed/mentioned within another article, it may be listed on a disambiguation page, per MOS:DABMENTION. The Manual of Style for disambiguation pages shows several examples of such "mentioned" entries, particularly in the section Where piping may be appropriate. If you disagree with this guideline, the place to discuss it is the MOS:DAB Talk page. I have reverted your removal of these valid dab page entries.--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:20, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
