editWhat about the definition of stim and stimming that is used in autism and asperger's?
Stimming is doing something that comforts a person - anything that is done on a fairly regular basis, I think - could be normal or completely different.
Ex. Knitting is normal, tying things in knots is not normal, but they could both be comforting and the activity that these people do to help them have comfort.
Punding

Note that Wikipedia is not a dictionary. An article may not consist merely of a definition of a word. If there is enough material, it is fine to have an article about stimming, but it is not permitted to have an article about the word stim. OK, now that I've looked into this a bit more, I'm just going to delete everything but the Asperger's material, and move that to stimming, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Use gerund of verbs. None of the other uses mentioned here are sufficiently notable to qualify for an article, or even for listing on a disambiguation page.
