Use of misnomer "the Hobbit triology"

The article says "In The Hobbit trilogy, Sting does not bear the inscription".

I think perhaps someone meant to say "Lord of the Rings trilogy", but I don't want to change this unless the facts line up correctly. Was there an inscription on sting in the Hobbit and not in the Lord of Rings trilogy, or vice-versa? If so, the article should be changed accordingly. If the inscription was present in both The Hobbit and throughout L.O.T.R. then this line should be removed altogether.

Requesting that someone who can attest to the actualities of this make the change. I just don't want to go changing the article due to misconception or erroneous information on my own part.

Mithril?

I went ahead and removed the claim it was made of mithril. If someone can cite support then feel free to change it back and note the support. When Aragorn and Gimli saw Frodo's mithril vest for the first time in FotR, they were astounded at the "kingly gift" and noted that Frodo had been carrying around under his shirt "the value of the Shire and everything in it". Gladius comparison

Shelob

Dagger or Short-Sword

When Bilbo finds Sting in the troll cave, it is clearly referred to as an elven dagger, not a short sword. It might seem large for a dagger, but remember hobbits are far smaller than humans. TheALittley (talk) 04:33, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

24 inches is very long for dagger, perhaps it should be classified as a short sword. Early 16th century katanas were often 24 inches, As well as Roman Gladii. Timothy Perseus Wordsworthe (talk) 06:49, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Samwise's Ownership

I cant remember when/if Sam ever gives Sting back, but the article implies it is given back to Frodo shortly after his imprisonment in Cirith Ungol when we know Sam keeps it at least until the Ring is destroyed MRG 010 (talk) 22:25, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Frodo gets sting back at the Field of Cormallen, but only agrees to wear it for ceremonial reasons. It is not clear from the text whether he continues to keep it afterwards.
