- Not sure why so many cites in the lead, see MOS:LEADCITE, as everything in the lead is normally mentioned in the article, reference it there instead.
- I've written an actual lead.
- Put (USGS) after the expanded version.
- Done.
- "in Wayne County.[5]" overlinked.
- Done.
- "″W[1], and" ref after comma.
- Done.
- Lead could use one or two more sentences, perhaps about its history.
- Done.
- I would have the History section ahead of the Ecology section.
- Done.
- "chinkapin oak, hackberry and cottonwood" links?
- I had those linked, but they got tagged with a {{dn}} because they weren't links to specific species. The source itself doesn't give this information (all it says is "
There are approximately 20.2 ha (50 acres) of upland area which includes a mix of vegetation; massive chinkapin oak, hackberry and cottonwood are among the old growth
"). Since I didn't want to do OR, I just removed the links.

- "ed lake sturgeon,[6]:4lake whitefish,[6]:4rainbow smelt,[6]:8northern pike,[6]:10muskellunge,[6]:10carp,[6]:13minnow,[6]:17channel catfish,[6]:19bullhead[disambiguation needed],[6]:19white bass,[6]:22smallmouth bass,[6]:22yellow perch,[6]:25walleye,[6]:31and " spaces after each reference, and one of those is already tagged as [disambiguation needed].
- Done.
- " by Potawatomi, who" context, who were they?
- Done.
- "connecting it to Grosse Ile[2] as" overlinked.
- Done.
- "activity died down" dredging activity?
- Done.
- "1977[10] until the company ceased operations in 1987.[12]" put that [10] at the end, nasty placement now.
- Done.
- Date formats in the references should be consistent.
- Done.
- Ref 1 needs more information, publisher/website and publication/access date etc.
- I assume you're talking about the GNIS ref; I don't think I can do this, since the reference is provided through a template ({{Gnis}}). I can try to look at the documentation, but it doesn't seem like it will work.
That's it. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 20:49, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
