The result of the move request was: page moved. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:49, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
Straightener → Straightener (band) – And redirect straightener to hair straightening. The band aren't really that famous are they? I think Wikipedia users are probably expecting to find information about hair straighteners when they search "straightener". Unreal7 (talk) 15:10, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Comment. Why hair straightening and not hair iron? Do we have any idea how many people are looking for any of these uses of "Straightener"? Dohn joe (talk) 15:34, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support move to Straightener (band) and rename Straightener (disambiguation) to Straightener. The band is most certainly not the primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 00:45, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support and move dab to baseline. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:56, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support move, but move Straightener (disambiguation) to Straightener due to the lack of a primary topic. Steel1943 (talk) 04:27, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom. -- Calidum 23:35, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support and move dab to baseline. If we think about it a bit, we will surely find not only that the band is not the primary topic, but that notable straighteners exist for things other than hair. —BarrelProof (talk) 00:28, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: withdrawn. This was supposed to be a revert, not a new discussion. I actually oppose this move. Steel1943 (talk) 07:12, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
Straightener (band) → Straightener – Revert move until move discussion on Talk:Straightener (well, Talk:Straightener (band) right now) is closed by an uninvolved editor/administrator. – Steel1943 (talk) 18:46, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:47, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- Or Straightener (disambiguation) to Straightener? The word has permanent meanings; most pop music is ephemeral. See recent discussion above. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:47, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
- At 19:57, 8 January 2015 User:Unreal7 moved page Straightener to Straightener (band): "Clear consensus on talk page, but where the base name goes remains to be seen") (Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:52, 11 January 2015 (UTC))
