editCould someone double check "Fretum Gallicum"? It is given as the Latin name by both this page and the straits of Dover page; if both are correct then a 'not to be confused with' warngin would be helpful. Fixed link across?
editCan anyone add more info on the possible plans of contructing a tunnel and/or bridge across to the other side? I am also quite curious as to whether any steps have been taken to decide to build infrastructure links across the:
- Strait of Messina
- Fehmarn Belt
- Strait of Bonifacio
- Cook Strait
- Palk Strait
- Strait of Tartary
- La Pérouse Strait
- Korea Strait
- Taiwan Strait
- Bohai Strait
- Irish Sea
- Surigao and San Bernardino Straits
- Hainan Strait
- Strait of Georgia
- Kvarken
- Sea of Åland
- Gulf of Finland
- Chacao Channel bridge
- Strait of Magellan
- Bering Strait
- Strait of Belle Isle
- Sunda Strait
- Malacca Strait
- Strait of Gibraltar
- Long Island Sound
- Great Abaco Islands
- Straits of Tiran
- Bab-el-Mandeb
- Gulf of Bahrain
- Strait of Hormuz
- Brunei Bay
Anyone with inside knowledge on any of these? I've posted similar requests elsewhere. Gruesome Twosome! 8v] //Big Adamsky 20:46, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
