Double entry of Alex Jones

Sourcing

The article has very few sources so most of it comes across as original research. The sources on the couples not only confirm there entry but once eliminated a source is added to confirm they have left. I can see no reason or them to be removed because without then it's barely sourced. I have made this entry so it can be discussed if users wish to remove them as anonymous ips seem to be removing all sources from the article on a frequent basis. I have grouped the ref so it refers to the same page on the official website instead of all seperate refs, and I moved it to the top of each column (celebrity & professional partner). The source for every elimination can stay. --MSalmon (talk) 10:50, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Voting numbers?

Have the BBC ever given any information about public voting figures? I would have thought that for "compliance reasons" such data would need to be accessible to the public in order to show fairness. The "adding togeher" of the judges' and public's votes has always sounded a little pointless to me. But I suppose that the margins could possibly be that small? Thanks. I am very surprised, especially as the money raised by calls to some shows goes to charity. Don't they at least announce the "total amount raised" for these shows, i.e how many calls were made in total? But how do they ever prove that the voting is not rigged? I see. Well yes, that gives me a clear answer, but hardly "all the information I need". And I think it's a pretty unsatisfactory answer. We still don't know how this kind of live tele-voting is regulated, only that it's not covered by the Freedom of Information Act. I think if the public are voting, whether they are paying to vote or not, they have a right to know the exact outcome, even if it's after a series has finished. Dance times?

How long do the dances last? Are they all exactly the same length in each show? I haven't been able to find anything at the main page. I agreed as it seems irrelevant trivia. This part of the show is the obligatory "dramatic tension-building reveal" moment when results are announced in no particluar order that surely does NOT belong in an encyclopedia. I am not a regular Wiki user with an account, but why is Holly listed as 4th in the actual scoring chart and Alex 5th? Shouldn't they technically both be listed as 4th since when Alex was eliminated first, Tess said, "In no particular order, the first couple leaving us tonight is...Alex & James"? We'll never know for sure, but I suspect Alex had more votes than both Holly and Jason and only went out because it was a double-elimination. For the three weeks prior, Alex had lower scores than either Holly or Jason but was kept out of the bottom 2 by the public. Obviously she didn't get the votes to stay given a double elimination, but what makes you think she got fewer votes than Holly? And since Holly was only one ranking higher than her on the judges' leaderboard, since viewer votes dominate, if Alex got more votes than Holly, then technically Alex would be 4th and Holly 5th. Again this is what I suspect, but isn't it better just to play it safe for posterity's sake and list them both as 4th a la a tie? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.103.7.165 (talk) 23:58, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Average Scores
