editFor both unit & counit diagrams, shouldn't the regions and order of F,G be switched? In the case that F is left adjoint to G the unit is a natural transformation from the identity to . If the notation does vary on the author then this point should perhaps be clarified.
In Tom Leinster's notes (Digression 2.2.9, page 28) he's drawn them differently - but the way I suggest / thought they were drawn. Neuroxic (talk) 14:23, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Both conventions exist indeed. See for instance these slides (page 18) where the diagrams have also been flipped vertically. This should be mentioned indeed. But the real problem is that the article is not consistent (the first string diagram suggests the other order for the (co)units), I will fix that. Pintoch (talk) 12:12, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
