These "Theories of Structural Priming" are inaccurate and incomplete. Within psycholinguistics, the most prevalent alternative accounts are a) some form of "transient activation" (e.g., short term boosts to the relevant structure that is subject to rapid decay), and b) some form of "implicit learning" (e.g., longer-term changes to connections between underlying syntactic representations). A useful resource is Pickering & Ferreira (2008). Structural priming: A critical review.
