Beatles
editHow can the Beatles have used a Stylophone on a Hard Day's Night (which came out in 1964), if it wasn't invented until 1967? Blogjam 08:50, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

White Stripes
editI'd like to see a source cited for linking this instrument to the White Stripes song Icky Thump.
According to the single released album cover the instrument was a Univox Synthesizer. And in the music video for the song, Jack is very much playing some sort of keyboard, not this strange instrument.

Additional evidence against the White Stripes using a Dubreq Stylophone. A recorded live performance on YouTube shows Jack, once again, with a keyboard type synthesizer.

Wilco
editWilco used the Stylophone on the song "Company in My Back" from their 2004 album A Ghost is Born. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.172.237 (talk • contribs) 10:34, 25 July 2007
Replies to the above
editTo the original Author's credit, The beatles weren't Mentioned. Though David Bowie was. As to the White Stripes, in the original entry they weren't mention either. It was the Recantours who were mentioned. Now I don't know about Icky Thump, but it sure sounds like a stylophone, if you switch the sounds while going up and down the metal plate keyboard with the stylus —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lpnalda (talk • contribs) 16:47, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Ridiculous
editWhat cretin put a picture of Little Boots–who maybe first saw a stylophone last year at the advice of her marketing manager–on the article when there isn't even one of Rolf Harris, a figure that is actually associated with the thing? 90.215.124.158 (talk) 18:13, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Photo removed, it was a pointless addition to the article and it's internal spamming. 92.40.26.32 (talk) 03:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Wow. Y'all will gatekeep anything, huh. (Walker Snarling) (talk) 18:11, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

More updates for article needed!
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
we need more information on the stylophone as possible, as no one has added the Stylophone beat yet to the article.
We need to fix this, as this article might be forgotten in the near future.
with kind regards, Gman54.1 (talk) 16:55, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
