Context of the book

I just added narrative criticism as the context of Young's book within Biblical criticism. It is also related to historical and postmodernist criticism. I'll explain this context according to Young's chapter "Mark as narrative art", but this may take several days.

As first hint that this book is not quite exotic, see The fantastic in Religious Narrative or George Aichele: The phantom Messiah : postmodern fantasy and the Gospel of Mark New York, T & T Clark, 2006 (Reviews: [1] and [2]). In addition, I refer to the discussion of Jesus' walk on the water. There, the book has been considered as very digressive first, but then recognized as an example of an important stream of Biblical hermeneutics.

I think the reception needs to come from WP:RS sources, not from Wikipedia editors. So I think you could add those yourself without problem. History2007 (talk) 20:05, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Of course, I don't expect you to write a recension... Finding a recension or the text of a citation (at least online) seems to be not so easy, so some help would be nice. But it's my task first, hence I'll look further in citation indexes, and I'll try to get some of the books citing Young. You are right, only Young's book as source of the article is not enough, even if exact reading of the book should serve as source for this article like for any other article. --Jwollbold (talk) 18:07, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Notability & Refimprove

I think this is probably a notable book, because it is by a well established scholar, and presents a somewhat novel view, yet in scholarly terms. However, it certainly does need more than one source. History2007 (talk) 20:00, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
