The Sundara Kanda begins with Hanuman assuming a gaint body and making a leap across the ocean to Lanka.[1] On the way to Lanka, he also fights Lanka On reaching lanka, Hanuman assumes a minute form and explores the city. He finds prosperous mansions and people singing the glory of Ravana.[2] and locates the mansion of Ravana. After searching throught the palaces of Ravana and his associates (p.231) Hanuman eventually locates Sita in Ashoka groove, guarded by demonesses (p.236)
