Spelling

edit

This is not part of Sungkyunkwan University, being owned separately, so I propose that the spelling be adjusted to that of its official Romanisation: "Seonggyungwan". JPBarrass 08:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear JPBarrass, I understand your point but the official Sungkyunkwan website [1] (not Sungkyunkwan university website) uses "Sungkyunkwan" as you can see it at the upper-left corner on its homepage. In my opinion, this might be confusing if "Seonggyungwan" is used here, in Wikipedia, 'cause this organization has already used "Sungkyunkwan" for its official English name. How do you think of this? Although I know that 성균관 is spoken as "Seonggyungwan" or "Sunggyungwan", I will have to agree with Brincos. "Sungkyunkwan" is the official spelling. I will be changing Sunggyunggwan -> Sungkyunkwan in all my future edits. Helznite 02:05, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pruned most of the article

edit

Hi, I deleted most of the content because it almost entirely lacked sources, and both the prose and formatting were spotty. I feel a bit bad because it was probably true and had some good information in it, but writing that much without any sources on Wikipedia is unacceptable.

If whoever wrote all that wants to, I encourage you to undo my edits and add sources back to every paragraph. If you do, it absolutely can stay (although the grammar and length need to be adjusted) toobigtokale (talk) 05:24, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
