Useful information from The Age

edit

The is some useful information located at this article in The Age newspaper about the history of the building and plans to redevelop it. Perhaps it could be worked into the article. I'm not very familiar with the site so I'm not sure that I could accurately write about it. It refers to the old High Court building 'next door'. Is the Supreme Court located in the old High Court building, or are they next door to one another, and are the plans to combine them into one? Somebody from Melbourne might be able to help out. -- Adz|talk 02:17, 11 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Supreme Court occupies both the Supreme Court building and the Old High Court Building, which is used for civil trials and to house administrative staff. The two buildings are separate, but they are linked by stairs and a path. I do not know the details of the renovation plans, but I suspect they will involve the further joining of the buildings and the improvement of wheelchair access between the two.
