What little that's been written in this wiki entry about this band is filled with errors. They did NOT form in Boston. They formed at Hampshire College in Amherst MA, which is roughly two hours west of Boston.
Steve "Shafel" is actually Steve Shavel, and while Steve, Dan and Jon were three core members of the band, the band did have a drummer - Mark Hanson. Also, there were many other members of the band who appeared on the various LPs and CDs referenced in the wiki entry like Jim Spring, Dave Taub, Sam Dylan, Rich Lee, McKinley Moore, Benji Bernhardt, Pete Morgan, Alex Konheim and Ted V., who appeared as the lead singer during the band's BBC Peel Session broadcast. Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh also appears on a recording.
This band's "Jack Smith" song was also covered by the band Low.
