The term milonguero-style was introduced by Birkit Wildenburg (Biki) in the Netherlands. Only after the specific tangostyle of Pedro Rusconi, better known as Tete, got introduced by this name, Susanna Miller (who learned this style from Tete) started to use this term. The style itself is based on a very traditional tango de salon style, were they dance chest to chest beacause of the crowded milongs. But it was Tete in combination with Maria at the time (1989), who started to dance with one axis, not only touching with the chests, but leaning againts each other.
