I suggest that this page should be merged with that on the Sussex (passenger ferry) itself. Adresia (talk) 21:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sussex was a ship; the Sussex pledge was a political declaration. They are not the same subject. Although the Sussex pledge article is not a very good one as it stands, the subject is probably sufficiently notable to merit a stand-alone article. If this article is to be merged with anything, it should be with Submarine Warfare or Intensified submarine warfare.
- Can I suggest that you post some arguments as to why this merger would be a good idea?

Contradiction
editthe second sentence is internally contradictory.it lists a citation, 'unrestricted submarine warfare', and then describes a restriction, armed merchantmen, but not passenger ships. etwas ist hier los!Toyokuni3 (talk) 15:50, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Unspoken Facts
editAs clearly stated in one of the links to the article ( http://www.uscsumter.edu/~tpowers/hist112/usentww1.html ), germany wanted something in return for their pledge wich they did not receive. I think this is important and musst be mentioned in the wiki article.
Sorry I didn't move this into a new topic, but I couldn't find the button. So please move. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.225.165.89 (talk) 03:17, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
