Lawsuit, what lawsuit?

I removed the following text: "According to the author, she, too, had been threatened with suits from Priscilla Presley and her church (of Scientology)."

Please provide your sources for this information. Note, no threats are EVER made in the American legal system. And, Presley's "Church" has nothing to do with her rights. As a legal entity, Presley has zero control on what the Church does and they act on their own in accordance with their Charter as carried out by its Board of Governors. - Ted Wilkes 13:44, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The information comes from the Variety magazine, Sep. 11, 1997:

THE FIRST LEGAL ROUND between Priscilla Presley and Currie Grant, the man who reportedly introduced her to then-G.I. Elvis Presley stationed in Germany, will take place Sept. 17 in Santa Monica Superior Court. Each is suing the other for statements made to author Suzanne Finstad in her book, "Child Bride: The Untold Story of Priscilla Beaulieu Presley." The author says she, too, had been threatened with suits from Presley (Priscilla) and her church (of Scientology). Meanwhile, producer Bud Grant and his 3rd Coast Entertainment are proceeding with plans to film the book, either as a theatrical or TV movie, having paid "high six figures" for those pic rights. ...

Just for the record, Suzanne Finstad actually apologized to Priscilla Presley. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ted Wilkes (talkcontribs) 15:46, 28 February 2006
Would you please also provide your source for this information, Ted. Thanks. Onefortyone 14:28, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, Onefortyone but citing a source does not mean readers must search thousands of Variety magazine issues. As you assert something then quote the issue date and page number where you read this. - Ted Wilkes 16:17, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

birth year

edit

Someone deleted the birth year because there was no reference. Its is so easy to verify and I am not going to add a reference to the article. If we add a reference for every easily verifiable fact the article will be cluttered. I restored the year. [2]
