What's this?

edit

@Dāsānudāsa, Asteramellus, and Skyerise: I'm at adds about this term "svabhavika." Is this genuine, or just another OR-creation? What do you think? Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 08:26, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah, found something +Svābhāvika bhedabheda. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 08:29, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Joshua Jonathan yes have seen the use of "svabhavika bhedabheda" before. So, definitely not OR. Also, see here - It mentions Yadavaprakasa, but not Srinivasacharya, but definitely the sources mention on this page do talk about Srinivasa's contribution (looks similar to what we had discussed on Adi Shankara, where philosophical ideas/frameworks were there already that may have influenced Nimbarka and Srinivasacharya). I have mostly seen the use of term "Dvaitadvaita" and not svabhavika bhedabheda - so, I would suggest the page title to be (or include) Dvaitadvaita if there is consensus. Also, want to thank Nimbarkadasa for his contributions here - before, Dvaitadvaita link were going to Nimbarka Sampradaya page, and this page will help give clarity for Dvaitadvaita. @Likes Thai Food: you may be interested; this reminds of Original enlightenment:

According to this approach, the relation between Atman and Brahman is svābhāvika or natural, not brought about by any external agency, and therefore it cannot be dispensed with. An adventitious relation can be finished away by removing the cause or agency which has brought it, but what is inherent or more appropriately natural cannot be taken away.

I'm not familiar with this particular philosophy, but it seems legit, from a quick scan of Google Books at least. Dāsānudāsa (talk) 09:49, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Nimbarkadasa: Gupta (2007) misses in the source-list; is thi the same as Gupta (2000)? Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 09:12, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
