The state of the company seems to be in the past tense in this article, even though its future is secured.

CVF Carrier Contract

The Information given about the future carrier contract is incorrect, as Swan Hunter has been given a £3bn contract to construct the two new carriers in partnership with BAE Systems Marine. http://www.bbc.co.uk/tees/360/swannindex.shtml

Swan Hunters Dry Dock Wallsend

Swan Hunters at Wallsend had four Dry Docks. The dry dock used to repaired ships after their long distance voyage. My father George Wilson was the Manager of the Dry docks. His Nick name was the “Bull” He started being at the Dry Dock in 1952.
