Why is this page called Swan Vesta and not Swan Vestas? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.134.73.70 (talk) 01:44, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Vestas" are casually mentioned in the 1858 novel Eric, or, Little by Little on page 109 (See books.google.com)

I had to look into quite a few dictionaries before I found one that defines "vesta" as a wax match. CharlesKiddell (talk) 19:04, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would like to strongly suggest this line needs clarification as it is factually incorrect:

"Indispensable for smokers in Britain due to a ban on gas lighters." There is no current ban on gas lighters in the UK - I have one right here! There is however a ban on carrying them in hand luggage on airplanes. Historically was there a ban? --Bigcitydeserter (talk) 02:14, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

vesta Given that vestas and vesta cases existed long before the swan brand, one presumes that there must have been other brands.82.37.163.124 (talk) 18:04, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Svan Vesta strike anywhere discontinued

edit

Article describes Vestas as being a strike anywhere match however they have recently been discontinued due to a new EU regulation. Swan vestas are now safety matches. 143.167.205.226 (talk) 01:16, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
