Article biased on the side of Sweden
editBiased template added because the article is full of Swedish leaning rhetoric. 46.31.118.91 (talk) 06:06, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please identify the specific text at issue. Note that the sources would need to be inaccurately summarized; if they are accurately summarized, you would need to take that up with the sources, not us. Being biased does not by itself preclude the use of a source on Wikipedia, as all people and sources have biases. Sources are presented to readers so they can evaluate them and judge any bias for themselves in determining what to believe. Wikipedia does not claim to be without bias or to be the truth, only that the information presented can be verified, see WP:TRUTH. 331dot (talk) 10:13, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
That is not true. Wikipedia requires that info be supported with reliable sources, see WP:RS. It also claims to be balanced and free of POVs, which it cannot guarantee all the time of course. 46.31.118.91 (talk) 08:37, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Please see the general disclaimer. Wikipedia strives for a neutral point of view, which is different from a lack of bias- which is impossible. Wikipedia does not claim to balance all points of view if reliable sources do not, see WP:FALSEBALANCE. Again, if sources in this article are not being accurately summarized, please detail the specific errors. If reliable sources are biased towards Sweden, then Wikipedia is, too. The sources are presented so readers can figure that out for themselves, if true. 331dot (talk) 09:54, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your informed explanation and bringing further clarification to the matter. Kind regards, 46.31.118.91 (talk) 05:23, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
