I will begin this review later today. Pancake (talk) 05:06, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- Composition
- "...in a way reminiscent of "Somethin' Stupid" (1967)". Whose song is this?
- Added
- "...and portray the protagonist as both funny and lonely". I don't feel like the "funny" part is mentioned in the source given here. It states that The Replacements' original has a "feigned nonchalance" (sort of a pretend "I-don't-care" attitude), while Lorde's has a "drama of lonely insecurity".
- Done
- This still needs to be fixed in the lead. Pancake (talk) 07:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- "Writing for Spin, J.D." No full name available here? If not, perhaps write, "Writing for Spin, critic J.D"
- Fixed to "editor J.D."
- "In an interview, Westerberg said:..." Perhaps include that the interview was conducted by Los Angeles Times.
- Agree. Done.
- "In an interview with..." → "In an interview for..." Pancake (talk) 07:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- Other versions
- Ref #16 confirms that Kindness' cover is house, but not electropop.
- Fixed.
- "New Zealand singer Lorde covered "Swingin Party" as the B-side to her second single, "Tennis Court"." Include the year she covered it somewhere in this sentence.
- Done.
- References
A lot of the references are lacking publishers, ref #1 doesn't need one as New York Times Co. publishes The New York Times. It's pretty redundant to include both. However,
- Ref #2, #15, #17, AllMusic's publisher, All Media Network
- Ref #4, #7, LA Times' publisher, Tribune Company
- Ref #6, Rolling Stone's publisher, Wenner Media
- Ref #9, #10, #13. Billboard's publisher, Nielsen Business Media (the current publisher is Prometheus Global Media but this issue was published in 1996)
- Ref #25, Village Voice's publisher, Voice Media Group
- Well, I don't think that publishers are really necessary here, per several recent FAs (4 or "Talk That Talk".
- Ok then. Pancake (talk) 07:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
Where can I read ref #14?
- It's in the journal. Simon (talk) 10:05, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Once these minor issues have been fixed, I will read through it again and see if there's anything else to be dealt with. Pancake (talk) 05:54, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- Added two minor comments. Once they are fixed this is a pass. Pancake (talk) 07:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- Done all. Thank you! Simon (talk) 10:52, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
