edit"Misty" was not written until 1954, "Pennies from Heaven" was written by Johnny Burke with a previous collaborator, Arthur Johnston. Before this film Burke and van Heusen had written the songs for Road to Morocco, apart from the standard "Moonlight Becomes You", the film includes the classic Burke line "like Webster's Dictionary, we're Morocco-bound". The last songs mentioned were written by Jimmy van Heusen and Sammy Cahn.
I'm not really sure where you're going with that, but uh, if you'd like to clarify you can. Or you can feel free to edit the article. It sucked worse than it did when I found it, and it was my first article rewrite/write. I mean, I practically rewrote it from scratch. Right now, it's in desperate need of a source or two, and it could use some rework on the recordings section. Erm, I'm not sure what the scope of your wikiproject is, but by all means, feel free to bring it up to a higher par. I look forward to reading something out of you. editDid the single have a picture sleeve, and is there any image that could be used in the infobox here? If not, could an image of the original 1944 sheet music be used e.g. [1]? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:31, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
possible reference in "The Up-Standing Sitter"
editIn the 1948 Daffy Duck short "The Up-Standing Sitter", the baby chick that Daffy has to chase after winds up on the wire and exclaims "Aren't you gonna chase me anymore? Or would you rather be a PIG?" which is a line from the song. It's a small bit of trivia, so is it fine to reference it on this page? 24.113.50.45 (talk) 14:39, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- Only four years after Going My Way, so a very probably reference. But we'd need to provide a reliable source, and just seven words does seem a bit trivial. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:46, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
