B-class review
editThis article is almost B-class; short just a few minor citations and a decent lead section. If those issues are fixed, it could be then nominated for a GA. I would usually ping the author(s), but this was created by an anon, so... :( --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:28, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
Encyclopedic content
editI removed one quasi subsection devoted entirely to a short, idiotic "letter to editor" from 1938 written to a primary source by absolute nobody, with juicy translation to English. This is just one of many serious POV issues here. Poeticbent talk 00:47, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
I removed reference to another absurdist diatribe from 1938 by one Adolf Nowaczyński, a bigot writing about a book he never read, by Leib Olicki (1897-1975). Please don't lie about an attack on Rey in that primary source. Rey was mentioned in that pseudo-review of books exactly in one sentence... and quite cordially by that matter. Quote. "Pan Rye z imienia Sydor w swoich "Kropiwnikach" prezentuje galerię galerników i moralnych karykatur polskich (Bożykowski, Kopystyńscy) a obok nich pięknych i szlachetnych Gellerów i znów dodatni typ żydowskiego potentata finansowego ..." (end of mention). Nowaczyński noted that the only negative characters in Ray’s book were ethnic Poles; he said nothing else. I also removed wild generalization by cherry-picked Eugenia Prokop-Janiec. Other established Jewish writers enjoyed the utmost prestige in the country, such as Bolesław Leśmian, Julian Tuwim, Antoni Słonimski etc. Undue weight. Poeticbent talk 20:21, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
