editI've been pretty brutal and cut out an awful lot of material from this article with this edit. As much as the content is well meaning, I'm confident that it's in breach of WP:OR; and it's definately in breach of WP:CITE.
I think I've raised it once before at WP:GM that there isn't really a "Manchester Bee" as a concept, but rather the worker bee is a heraldic symbol of Manchester (specifically the city council, but clearly used elsewhere - like Boddington's beer - by extension). Furthermore, the Red Rose and Cottongrass are not symbols of Manchester, but other, wider territories.
I'd personally like to see this article change title and content to match the Coat of arms of West Yorkshire series (the county's five boroughs each have a page), where it's all about the council arms, and then we as editors can explain its uses elsewhere (like football badges etc).
Naturally, I would appeal to previous editors of this article to cite their sources before restoring any content; unsourced material may be challenged and removed at any time, so I'd much rather do it than someone else!
Thank you all! --Jza84 | Talk 19:31, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
