SYRE were originally a UK heavy Metal Band, with Chaz Petty on Guitar, not Canadian!
Investigating the claim that the song "Say hi to my girlfriend" charted, I found these Google news results indicating the Chicago Tribune provided some form of coverage in June 1991.
