Common name?
editThis is just one of several species in NZ that have 'Maire' in their names, most of the others are Nestegis species. This one is the Swamp Maire - not sure that this species is 'the' maire. Just a thought that it may have to be moved in the future. Kahuroa 19:58, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
This is a photo of Syzygium australe or "brush cherry", not Syzygium maire.--Syzygium (talk) 04:57, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- You are right. The fruit and the leaves don't look like S. maire, but are like S. australe. I will get the image name changed on Commons. Kāhuroa (talk) 12:52, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
