Why is the second world war history missing. There was a major offensive in the area by the Germans alongside Hungarian forces versus the Soviet Army (large Soviet war cemetery in town centre), not to mention the bombing of the rail marshalling yards by the British and Americans. The town was severely damaged, with xxx number of casualties.

It seems a common thing to skip this piece of history, and whatever the reason for this it did happen, after all the Turks get a mention with their rampaging. Can anyone expand on this?Sidney Bung 20:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

37 or 43

Firts say that 37 kings were crowned here; later say that were 43. What date is correct?--88.19.52.244 (talk) 10:41, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Name

The name doesn't mean "seat/chair of the white castle", it means "white castle of the seat/chair". Dadge (talk) 01:09, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

There was a joke among Soviet soldiers: "It is easier to conquer this city, than to name it". I heard it from a real veteran when I was in school. The name is too long for speakers of Russian.--79.139.137.193 (talk) 06:13, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
