Nagoya daibutsu
edit"Daibutsu" is not an English word, and English speakers probably don't call it "Nagoya daibutsu". If we did, and there is only one in Nagoya, we'd probably call it "The Nagoya Daibutsu", with "diabutsu" capitalized. How about this: "A 10 meter tall Buddha statue was erected in 1987. In Japanese, it is called "Nagoya daibutsu" (kanji here), which means "giant Buddha statue of Nagoya"."114.161.229.100 (talk) 12:20, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- The examples of the name can be found here. And it is called "Great Buddha of Nagoya" in this source. So I think "Great Buddha of Nagoya" is OK. Then the description is taken from the source, "A 10-meter high statue, the Great Buddha of Nagoya, was erected in 1987." seems alright. ―― Phoenix7777 (talk) 11:35, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, sounds good. I'll give it a whack.114.161.229.100 (talk) 03:00, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
