Scott Hall not confirmed as Sting's Partner

edit

Scott Hall was not officially confirmed as Sting’s tag team partner, Kevin Nash said he “thinks” it’s Scott Hall. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TNAFan80 (talkcontribs) 03:53, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sting also said that his partner was a World Champion in every organisation he was in. Scott Hall wasn't the WCW World Heavyweight Champion nor WWE/World Heavyweight Champion, so he cant be Sting's partner. J@ro_Link 13:42, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Technically he was World Tag Team Champion in WWE and WCW. I agree it should be removed since Nash said he thinks its Hall and I hate spoilers, but on next weeks iMPACT it's confirmed that Hall is not Sting's partner and that he won't reveal his partner until Genesis. Don't post spoilers. J@ro_Link 10:34, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Umm...I'm trying to not spoil the PPV, but you guys do know that Scott Levy aka Raven is the only wrestler to ever hold a championship in WWF/E, WCW, ECW, and TNA right? It wouldn't make any sense for Raven and Sting to team up, but he is the ONLY one to have a championship in all 4 major organizations. Indie -0 04:06, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sting just said that the wrestler held world titles in every organization they've been in. Paul Wight would qualify for that and has had problems with Angle in the past (Booker Huffman also qualifies, but his 90 day no-compete clause won't expire before the PPV). TJ Spyke 23:24, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I just laughed at this post of yours. Ahahahaha. Jeez, not everyone who gets released has a no-compete clause. For instance, most of the time when a contract expires, there isn't one. Also the WWE could have released him no strings attached, just like they did with Angle, or Booker could have paid his way out of the clause. TonyFreakinAlmeida 05:01, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think Paul Wight is wresling in indie organizations right now, though. Anyone else meet qualifications? Indie -0 00:53, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Booker doesnt have a no complete clause. He is officially able to be in tna as of october 27 i believe.LifeStroke420 01:03, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, he was released from WWE as of October 27. I'm pretty sure that whenever a wrestler is released, he/she has to wait 90 days before competing in another organization. Indie -0 01:44, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, he was released on the 14th his contract expired on the 27th.LifeStroke420 02:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

"On October 16, WWE announced that both Booker and Sharmell would be released from their contracts, effective as of October 27." I just copied and pasted this from the Booker T wiki. Indie -0 02:11, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wait and see if he doesn't show up since you know it all.LifeStroke420 02:17, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

If a wrestler is released from their contract (as opposed to their contract expiring, which it didn't expire this year), they can not do anything wrestling related (including just autograph signing) for 90 days without WWE's permission. Somehow I doubt that WWE would allow him to compete for TNA during that period. This discussion ends now since this page is for discussing improvements to the article, not discussion about the subject. TJ Spyke 02:21, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, LifeStroke420. I don't know it all. I'm just presenting you with what I found on Wikipedia. We'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out for sure. But, yeah, let's stop discussing this here. If either of you want to talk, drop by my talk page. Indie -0 03:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know its unlikely but knowing how TNA loves to dig up old timers, I think Randy Savage would qualify as a possible partner for Sting holding both the WWE and WCW championships. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.153.65.118 (talkcontribs)

TNA has said that (through TNA Mobile) that the mystery partne has never been in a TNA ring before, so it can't be Savage (he has a brief run in TNA in 2004). TJ Spyke 02:52, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

HA! I fucking told you!LifeStroke420 04:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone else think that the note about Booker being a mystery opponent should be removed? We don't note any other time a wrestlers has been a "mystery" before the PPV, so there is no reason to note it here. Also, I changed the link to hugger to say "mystery man" because he was not given a name at the PPV. TJ Spyke 20:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

2007

edit

Please do NOT delete the theme song information, the information is CORRECT as the song was used in many video packages advertising the event and was played throughout the actual show, furthermore it was used in the official highlight video and the DVD commercial, both of which can be found on YouTube 82.11.242.159 23:42, 12 January 2008

1)TNA never said it was the theme song and being played in video packages is different. 2)YouTube is not a reliable source when it comes to copyrighted material. The info will not be allowed in the article unless you can find a reliable source for TNA calling it the theme song (which won't happen since they never did). World Title Match

edit

Shouldn't this match be noted as a "Tag for the title match" like it is promoted on iMPACT. Jay794 21:36, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Getting ridiculous

edit

Okay, I'm not going to bother making edits, because I know they'll be shot down. But there are certain details that should always be made note on these summary pages. 1. The winning move, the move that lead to the victory. In a ladder match for instance, of course the guy wins the match by grabbing what's hanging, duh! 2. This page is lacking the details of Tomko and AJ joining Angle and helping him retain the World Title, and Cage also looking on from the stage in confusion. 3. Sharmell and Karen did not accompany Booker and Kurt to ringside, they arrived later in the match, also Karen interfered in the match. TonyFreakinAlmeida 04:57, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with some parts and disagree with others, and with put them in number points too. 1)Technically no move leads to the finish in a Ladder match. 2)Normally I would have put that in right away, but while editing here I was also watching a DVD and playing a game on my Nintendo DS and was a little distracted. 3)I was going on Dave Meltzers coverage of the event, and his wording didn't make it clear that Sharmell and Angle didn't come out with them in the beginning.
