I have just added archive links to 2 external links on TVS Apache. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Additional misleading content without proof
editIn the first paragraph its mentioned that the TVS Apache is sold currently as 10 variants. This is not true. It includes many models which are just renderings and designs which haven't even made to prototype stage. Please make the necessary changes and protect this page. Icestorm6 (talk) 14:01, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- Have you got a WP:Reliable source to confirm how many variants are sold? The Mighty Glen (talk) 14:10, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Icestorm6 and The Mighty Glen: I've gone ahead and removed the information that is currently in the article since it's not clear whether the source it is based on is reliable. It seems to be written primarily by one person with minimal editorial oversight. Mz7 (talk) 19:28, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Mz7 and The Mighty Glen: Thank you Mz7 for removing the misleading content on the first paragraph. I do have a reliable source of information about the variants currently sold by the company. It can be found on the comapny's official website: [23]. On visiting, you will find the number of sold variants as 6 viz: Apache RTR 160, Apache RTR 180 (both available in carburetted and fuel injected options), Apache RTR 180 ABS (with ABS), Apache RTR 200 4V (available in carburetted, fuel injected, ABS and Slipper Clutch options), Apache RR 310 (co-developed by BMW based on the BMW G310R) and the Apache RTR 160 4V. However I'm sad to say that there is more wrong info on the page as the details on specification of the motorcycle given in the page refer to the flagship product of the company, the TVS Apache RR 310 and it has also got a separate page [24] which is also a stub. The specification details provided do not match the image given on this page. As the motorcycle has many variants and each one differs significantly from the other, it requires and lot of editing and content to be added mentioning all the differences. Also the motorcycle is a modified version or built upon the TVS-Suzuki Fiero. This information was given in the page sometime back but has been removed by some person(s) involved in this vandalism. I can provide information if you need from trustworthy sources but it would be better to allow me to edit the page myself. However I cannot guarantee a speedy edit and the edit can be made only in a 2 week time frame preferably after June 4 when my spare time allows me to. I really thank you for understanding this and replying to this talk. I assume that someone did this to promote his/ her website by giving the citation and left the edits halfway. It would be grateful if you give me this opportunity to undo this act of vandalism and add trustworthy information to the page that would benefit both readers and wikipedia. --Icestorm6 (talk) 06:21, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Icestorm6: We are currently dealing with a situation where a user has been blocked from editing for abusing multiple Wikipedia accounts, and this article is persistently edited by that user in violation of their block. The page protection is there to mitigate the disruption caused by that user, but the good news is that your account will be autoconfirmed if you submit just two more edits to any page. Once your account is autoconfirmed, you will gain the technical ability to edit this article. Alternatively, the protection is set to expire in three days, so you could just wait it out. - @Mz7: I'll do that. Thank you! --Icestorm6 (talk) 06:52, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Mz7: I have provided all the citations to the information that I have added and added some more to the previous information on the page. More details are to be added and many to be edited. Sorry for the large number of edits in this page as my browser keeps crashing often and so this is the only way to save my progress. I request you to keep this page semi protected even after the current deadline to prevent further vandalism. Like I have added currently, the relation of the suzuki fiero was mentioned in older versions of the page, but someone had removed it. There is no document or news which relates to this or says what they modified. They just modified an engine they had. For the citation regarding the term 'Racing Throttle Response', it is just a marketing term and has no sources available to prove it other than an old TV commercial. However if at all I get any information to cite on these two, I would do it in the future. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Icestorm6 (talk • contribs) 08:58, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

- Whoops, sorry I didn't see your message here until now. Don't forget to sign your post with 4 tildes (~~~~), otherwise pings don't work. The semi-protection on this article expired on the 17th, but it doesn't look like vandalism has resumed. When and if it does, let me know and I can reprotect then. All the best, Mz7 (talk) 22:43, 22 May 2018 (UTC) @Icestorm6: Forgot to ping. Mz7 (talk) 22:44, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

As of 2020, more than 4 million Apaches are on the road.[1] Currently the company sells five variants of the TVS Apache.
