Boxing Hall of Fame

I removed the statement that Dorgan was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. The only reference I could find to support it was a single newspaper article, but I think the list of inductees of the organization itself , where Dorgan is NOT listed, trumps that. Clarification about retirement

I slightly altered the "Life in Great Neck" section because of a somewhat misleading statement about TAD retiring in the early 1920s. While it is true that he retired, on doctor's orders, from covering live sports events (he had a heart attack in the middle of a Jack Dempsey fight!) in the early 20s, he continued to draw both "Indoor Sports" and "Judge Rummy" for the Hearst papers up until he died in 1929. I didn't source this, because it's plain to see in any newspaper archive. Flivver

I have just read a reference crediting TAD with coining the word 'flivver' for 'any small car'.

Well, I found a source to support the statement that Dorgan made this claim (cited in wikt:flivver). Whether he was correct is another issue entirely. DS (talk) 05:36, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Daffydils Spelling

Could we change the spelling of "Daffydills" to "Daffydils"? E.g. see the spelling here on a collection of Dorgan's Daffydils cartoons.
