Common name: Tad or Elton
edit@Cbl62: I saw your reverts at the two Princeton season articles. Wieman was commonly known as "Tad" while head coach at Princeton, but "Elton" at other times? I see lots of reference to "Tad" in the sources at other points his life, from 1915 to his death in 1971. Perhaps the article should be renamed to Tad Wieman? - @Jweiss11: During his Princeton years, newspaper usage of "Tad Wieman" exceeded "Elton Wieman" by a factor of more than 10 to 1. When the article was created back in 2007, the "Elton" naming was presumably applied because official Michigan sources such as the Bentley refer to him as "Elton" during his years as a player (e.g., this, this). If you wish to pursue a move, I have no objection that. In the meantime, the overwhelming ratio in favor of "Tad" during the Princeton years dictates per WP:COMMONNAME that he should be referred to as "Tad" in Princeton team articles. - I moved the article. The sources cited here overwhelmingly used Tad in their titles. Jweiss11 (talk) 01:54, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
