Taichung bus rapid transit → Taichung BRT – The bus system has always been known as the BRT in Taiwan, not bus rapid transit. All sources refer to the system as the BRT (see this government doc, this news article, this picture of a station, this system map, and this blog post.) Naming the article "Taichung BRT" would be a better fit according to WP:COMMONNAME. BigBryan0 (talk) 07:24, 18 July 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 16:38, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Hhkohh (talk) 10:41, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- Contesting this one per MOS:ABBR. If the expanded version of "BRT" is never used in sources then we should stick with the acronym, but if usage is mixed, it could go either way. I would think that the full name of the system is Taichung Bus Rapid Transit with capital letters, though. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 08:59, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- I forgot to consider MOS:ABBR. However, the page states that abbreviations are permitted "if the subject is known primarily by its abbreviation and that abbreviation is primarily associated with the subject" (see WP:NCA). In our case, common usage is skewed towards using the phrase "BRT" instead of "Bus Rapid Transit", just like how "NASA" is used instead of "National Aeronautics and Space Administration". Therefore, using NASA's page as a reference, I suggest moving this page to "Taichung BRT" and starting off the article with "The Taichung Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) was a..." - I could live with that, as long as we're sure that Taichung BRT is the WP:COMMONNAME in English. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 03:57, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Title Change to Taichung BRT Blue lin
editAccording to the Chinese article, this title should be named “Taichung BRT Blue Line” instead Timchang981 (talk) 05:47, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Timchang981:,
- As I don't think we have an article for the blue line yet, I've changed the interwiki so it links to zh:台中市快捷巴士 instead. NemesisAT (talk) 10:52, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
