Spelling
The commonest spelling used in the article is "takatāpui", although "takātapui" also occurs twice. Which is correct?
Creation myth
What is the relevance of the first paragraph of "Hinemoa and Tūtānekai"? Would the entry suffer at all if were not there? --Hugh7 (talk) 08:39, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

"Upon reading...in Māori, Laurie..." I did not know reading in Māori was one of Dr Laurie's talents. Is the reference in question an anthology, and is the true author perhaps Professor Ngāhuia Te Awekōtuku? --Hugh7 (talk) 08:57, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
