Vocab
editTolkien actually worked out a rather complete grammar and syntax of Taliska,
But what about the vocabulary? -- SS 22:12, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- As I do not have access to Vinyar Tengwar, where it was to be published, I couldn't tell you. There was apparently a basic vocabulary as well. [[User:Anárion|File:Anarion.png]] 22:16, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I know it was being worked on, not sure if it was actually published already. Revised comment above. [[User:Anárion|File:Anarion.png]] 15:10, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Oh, thanks for the clarification. -- SS 11:24, 10 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Did you mean Parma Eldalamberon? (How does one find back issues of PE?) —Tamfang (talk) 02:46, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

edit- During the writing of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien toyed with the idea of making Taliska the primordial tongue of the people of Rohan who spoke Old English in his translated setting of The Lord of the Rings.
This could be clearer. He considered using Taliska (rather than OE) in the book? Or merely that maybe OE is to be considered as the translation of Taliska (rather than of a distant cousin of Taliska)? —Tamfang (talk) 02:45, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
