Great work with this article, Zeng8r. I just wanted to clarify my cite needed tag for the 1892 team. I've seen a few sources mention there was a Tampa team in a short-lived early Florida state league, but I haven't seen any that say this team was known as the "Smokers", beyond possibly a stray reference or two from baseball-reference.com, a user-generated site. Is there a source for this?--Cúchullaint/c14:25, 29 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've only seen vague mentions as well. I'm planning on heading to the old newspaper section of the downtown library for some non-wiki research soon. While I'm there, I'll see if I can find any evidence of the 1892 Smokers. Zeng8r (talk) 16:47, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
addendum: Hey, if I happen to find photos from that era, they'd be public domain, wouldn't they?
