merger
editthe merger is logical and has been supported by three or four votes, with no objections so i will carry it out. All the other pig articles are in the singular. this one is the only anomaly. Covalent 15:55, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
breed history
editI was looking for information about the breed's history. I remember to have read (but not, where) that the Tamworth pig preserves only genes from European wild boars, with no genetic material from East Asian breeds, as in all modern high-yield breeds. If that is so it would be worth mentioning (and even if it is an outdated opinion still occuring in the literature it might be worth to set it right). Any experts who feel like writing about that issue?
