Fiona Patton
editFiona Patton is notable, as an author in her own right, and the wikilink on her name should probably be returned as soon as someone constructs a page for her -- I'll do it soon if no one else does. --Ambyr 17:57, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
Ok, done :) Feel free to review and revise Fiona Patton The Steve 06:39, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
Books' Content
editThe article introduces the author and lists her books, but it doesn't actually give much indication as to what she writes about. I'm not familiar with her work, though. Could someone please expand? – Zawersh 22:09, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Character's Name
editIsn't the protagonist known as "Vicki Nelson" and with an official first name "Victoria"? Monado 05:17, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- I believe it was stated in the third novel that only her mother calls her "Victoria". You are right that she is usually referred to as "Vicki" in the text, though "Victory", her police colleagues' nickname for her, is much more distinctive and I believe that's what I've seen in marketing references. I don't have an authoritative opinion at the moment. Avt tor 07:04, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've edited the Victory Nelson books description to show that Vicki leaving the police force and meeting Henry was backstory that happened before the first book. I didn't get into Tony's story (that Tony was actually Vicki's stool pigeon, and didn't meet Henry until half way throught he first book)140.198.2.75 19:30, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yep. I always got the feeling that Vicki and Tony were a (young) date that didn't work out.. more his interest in her, in exchange for his muscle or info or whatever. LOVE Henry, the vamp, thus not as interested in her. Frankly, I liked the book with the werewolf family the best. --leahtwosaints (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Valor's trial
editAmazon has Valor's trial as 4th in the series due for publication June 2008. It wasn't in the bibliography on her official site though. 9 March 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cwykes (talk • contribs) 10:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editThe list of her works was recently split off from this article. Neither article is so large that such a split is necessary or even desirable. 71.204.176.201 (talk) 19:46, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose merge. It was a compromise vs the blood books each having their own articles. Me-123567-Me (talk) 20:14, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Support merge. E.g., see [Bernard Cornwell] and [David Weber] and the links to their series and THEN to their books. They are listed as start class, but I think that's because no one bothers to review. The Cornwell nesting of links I think is particularly well done (I DON'T know about the book articles themselves, but author and series articles are good. For Feature Article, not [J.R.R. Tolkien], [Lord of the Rings] and then [Fellowship of the Rings], etc. I'd at least suggest including a blurb/book list for each series in the author's article and then a separate article on each series, though not necessarily each book. IMHO (talk) 21:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Also look at Terry Pratchett and Discworld, though the latter is only one series, it is in a separate listing. Both the author and the series articles have B ratings. IMHO (talk) 00:50, 14 October 2008 (UTC). P.S. I should note that while one series is separate, there is still a decent write up in his article, that being the point. So even if any series gets a sufficient writeup (ala Pratchett's 20+ series write up), there should still be more material on the author's page. IMHO (talk) 00:53, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Citation needed
editUnder the information for Enchantment Emporium, there's a Citation Needed tag. I found a link confirming that information, the author's blog making that announcement. But I've never edited Wikipedia before and couldn't figure out what went where. Rather than screw up the main page, I'll leave the link here and hope for someone more experienced.
