Date / Timeline

edit

I am not against the timeline per se, mind you - it should exist for ALL organizations and state military. What I do however wish to point out is that the last action listed is from 2005. We now have 2017 so 12 years. In 12 years, nothing happened? Or nothing was recorded? In the latter case, if indeed nothing has happened then perhaps the article can explain why there is 12 years of inactivity. I note this down without any qualitative measurement, simply something that the article itself as it currently is, fails to explain. And this will continue to persist for the coming years until someone explains this. 2A02:8388:1641:4700:BE5F:F4FF:FECD:7CB2 (talk) 18:07, 15 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Charges

@Longhornsg: Murder charges or not; Wikipedia reflects reliable sources: [1], [2], [3]. Makeandtoss (talk) 14:36, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

The France24 source says murder. Don't WP:CHERRYPICK. AJ here says murder, which is an encyclopedic rendering of why he's in prison. Unless we should also change Baruch Goldstein, Yigal Amir, and Moshe Kelman to "involvement in deadly attack" rather than murder. Let's be NPOV and consistent. What Israel chose as a charge "sentenced to five life terms in prison for multiple accounts of murder", is different from what he has done in practice. Barghouthi held leadership positions, not a gun, so no in practice he was not a murderer, but one who played a "role in deadly attacks against Israel" per RS. Consistency is in reflecting RS.
