Any information about the historic Coahuiltecan peoples of southern Texas and northeastern Mexico can go on that article or articles for the specific tribes that formed the Coahuiltecan peoples. Note: all added content needs to be cited by published, secondary, reliable sources. This article is about a specific organization based in San Antonio formed in the 1990s. - The correct tribal leadership is as follows:
- Tāma Raymond Hernandez – Payaya
- Tāma Linda Ximenez – Xarame
- Tāma Ramon Vasquez Y Sanchez – Auteca Paguame
- Tāma Mickey Killian – Pakawan
- The position of Tāma for the Pampoa band is currently vacant
- As is noted on the tribe's website: https://tappilam.org/council/
- The current listed persons are of a different organization. If you want to list information about the American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions, nonprofit, then that should be in a separate article or subsection of this one. 2605:59C8:4390:7F10:193D:56F2:B76B:D7A (talk) 04:30, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- When you search "Tāma Raymond Hernandez," the only thing that shows up is the organization's own website, which can't be used as a source since it is wp:self-published and could be interpreted as promotional. This article identifies Mickey Killian as a group member but not as a officer. Yuchitown (talk) 20:59, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Yuchitown
Misrepresentation of source material
editThere have been several misrepresentations of source material recently (dif1 dif2). I know Wikipedia considers this a serious problem; however, I don't see any warnings for this or any Wikipedia guides on this practice. Any guidance would be appreciated. - This article confuses the Tap Pilam Coauiltecan Nation with a nonprofit associated with it (American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions). It omits the tribal structure and instead lists the nonprofit management. It also omits other nonprofit organizations affiliated with the Tap Pilam Coahuiltecan Nation, like the Yanaguana Tap Pilam Native American Church. Please correct these errors. 2605:59C8:4390:7F10:193D:56F2:B76B:D7A (talk) 04:25, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
