The external link AngloGold Ashanti page on TauTona leads to a password-protected site. ReelExterminator 07:52, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The original link on Google Images pointed to Savuka ( I think ). Currently as edited it points to Tautona. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.54.202.70 (talk) 20:05, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I suggest to move the article to TauTona Gold Mine, to bring it in line with all other mining articles. This title is currently a redirect to this article. Calistemon (talk) 09:06, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

"TauTona" is the official name by the company. Adding "Gold Mine" is over-precision per WP:PRECISION. --Kslotte (talk) 19:09, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually, the official name is TauTona Mine, its even got its own logo with it on it. Don't know whether you can follow this link, it shows the logo. If not, I might upload it, I guess it qualifies under fair use. In any case, virtually all mine articles have the word mine in their name, just check the relevant mines categories. I've uploaded the logo and added t to the article. Calistemon (talk) 05:08, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Can I recommend that the rename be to TauTona gold mine or whichever variation. I do not believe that the subsequent words in the title should indicate that it is a proper noun. At this point I do not think that there would be considered a consensus on the name. billinghurst sDrewth 14:28, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure we need much of a consensus, looking at the offial mine logo, which pretty clearly states the name as TauTona Mine. Calistemon (talk) 15:28, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Mine type

edit

If this is a gold mine it should be explicitly stated in the article. There are references to gold in the article but the mine is not actually identified as a gold mine. -Rolypolyman (talk) 18:36, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Its mentioned in the opening sentence. Moving the article to its new name would also help to make clear what it is about. Calistemon (talk) 03:53, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
