Here's something that occurs oh maybe 5000 times a month in the US and we have 6 lines on it, and Richfield Utah has three pages. Why is it I keep hearing rumbles about quality in Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.200.80.4 (talk) 21:29, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
By all means, let's merge these articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.200.80.4 (talk) 21:45, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
I agree, merge with tax lien sale but name the article "tax lien sale". (I also have a lot of experience with tax liens in Arizona.) Raquel Baranow (talk) 03:37, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- There seems to be consensus to merge but all these are types of tax sales or tax auctions so would that not be a better general heading? Otr500 (talk) 00:49, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
This article is very US-centric
editBoth this article, and the ones being suggested for merge, are very US centric. There are also tax sales in Canada. In British Columbia, for example, a municipality HAS to offer a property for auction once property taxes are unpaid for three years. The minimum bid is the unpaid taxes. There is a one year redemption period during which the property owner or any one with a charge against the title (such as a mortgagee) can redeem the property by paying the taxes plus interest. After the one year, the buyer takes title free and clear (except for easements). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dianebl (talk • contribs) 18:55, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
