Palestine in the Taxation District number V.
editHerodotus mentions "The part of Syria called Palestine" as part of the V district, alongside Phoenicia.
He never mentions "Yehud Medinata", nor "Judea", nor "Israel". Nor as part of any tax district nor he mentions any of these names in any other part of his 9 History books...

The exchange rate given by Herodotus does not correspond to silver weight
editI noticed that the exchange rate given by Herodotus (1 Babylonian talent of silver = 1.3 Euboïc talents of silver) does not match the silver weight (if we accept the introductory statement that 1 Babylonian talent = 30.3 kg of silver while 1 Euboïc talent = 26 kg of silver, the exchange rate should be 1 : 1.17). Does anyone have any idea how to solve this apparent contradiction? Anaxicrates (talk) 04:18, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
