This term does not only used for schools in Soviet Union. In Poland Technicum is a name for Technical high school in German I belive it is Technical collage. --Jarekt (talk) 02:58, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Even in Great Britain are colleges with educational level between school and university, they have no defined name "technikum", but educational level is absolutely the same like in Soviet technikums 90.191.190.76 (talk) 19:17, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merge from Technikum (Poland)

edit

The Polish technikum was introduced in 1948. It seems modelled after the Soviet model, and I don't think there are any major differences requiring us to have the articles split at this point. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 22:00, 2 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Should be it's own page without the (Polish education) part.

edit

As the article says, technikums exist across the old soviet bloc. Having the page look specific as if it's talking only about Polish technikums seems a bit misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.142.12.15 (talk) 10:19, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
