Page title

I am not sure "Government of Experts" is a widely used name for the Italian governi tecnici in English newspapers, and of course it's not the English translation. If it's indeed the correct name in journalism, then at least a reference should be added. Otherwise I think technical government or technocratic government match better the Italian expression. Name and concept

The title is fine but whether or not the phrase is a correct translation when applied to Italy, it certainly has had wider application. In the 1920s and early 30s, it had some currency in English, and particularly as the translation for concepts on the left and right in German and other European politics. The ideal of the 'government of experts' was used to justify putting bankers in charge of the economy or engineers in charge of works and, as that suggests, was available across the political spectrum. In effect, it was one expression of technocratic ideals. It actually could be linked to the larger article on "Technocracy". Random noter (talk) 21:59, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Yes, also the first sentence of this article "... is an expression connected solely to the Italian Parliament" looks a lot like someone wants to stress that it's an Italian-only thing, while I really doubt this (indeed the sentence is not sourced and needs a citation since August 2018). For the moment I would just move this page to "Technical government (Italy)" or "Technocratic government (Italy)". --Ritchie92 (talk) 07:56, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Government of Experts → Technocratic government (Italy) – This article is very specific about the technocratic governments in Italy, and it is not true that there are no other experiences of such governments outside of Italy, so for disambiguation purposes this should point to "Italy" as the main subject. As a matter of fact, very recently Lebanon formed a technocratic government, Romania had a technocratic government between 2015 and 2017, Greece had the Papademos cabinet in 2011, Austria in 2019, and one could look up fore more and more examples. Also, I would use the form "technocratic government" instead of "government of experts", because it's more used in the English news and media, and it is also closer to the terminology used in Italy (governo tecnico).
