Article cites company website
editThe citations here indicate a non-NPOV article. Lazarusloafer (talk) 19:50, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- with respect, that is irrelevant. About half the article is negative to Teck, so if there is a POV it's apparently anti-Teck (or anti-mining, anti-business, anti-capitalist or whatever the last editor's beef is). Companies typically don't get third-party citations for getting on with their business so a well-managed company is unlikely to have any, and the company's website is as good a source as any for basic facts. This article does not contain the hyperbole associated with a minority of company articles which are apparently written by their PR people. If you can be specific about what material contains a pro-Teck POV, something can be done. As it is, I dispute the neutrality of your tag and comment Chrismorey (talk) 00:34, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- I concede this was an impulsive tag, not well-considered. Removing it now. Lazarusloafer (talk) 04:25, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Cominco needs to be its own article, not just a passing mention in the lede; as the mining and smelting branch of the CPR, it's not just a predecssor company or a Teck acquisition.Skookum1 (talk) 03:38, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
