Contested deletion

edit

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this page is still effectively a stub, and all of the information provided on the page is cited through references provided, it is clear there is more work to be done here and I just wanted to go to bed, this recommendation for speedy deletion after the page being up for an approx 2 hours is frustrating and is in poor taste especially since it targets a page that will be providing information on a historic gay activist --Bderen1 (talk) 08:51, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello Bderen1 -- I've declined the immediate deletion on this article to give you chance to develop it properly. I agree northe is likely to meet the notability guidelines based on news coverage. In future, it's best to get a new mainspace article up to a reasonably complete outline, fully sourced, before leaving it, even overnight. You can develop articles in your userspace sandbox or in draftspace at your own pace without being bothered by patrollers, if you desire (I always do this!).
